Self-Care for ERG Leaders

Wellness

12:00 PM-13:30 PM PST

Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation," said Audre Lorde. As an ERG leader, you take on a lot of extra responsibilities and workload on top of your day to day job.
This can often take a toll on your physical and emotional well-being. Join mindfulness and breathwork teacher Zee Clarke of Reclaiming Flow to learn self-care tools so that you might find balance and grounding despite any challenges that come your way.
What’s the ROI? Creating value for ERG leaders and members doing the work

Operations

1:00 PM-1:45 PM PST

Many people of color, women, LGBTQ, and others enter the tech industry to build innovative products or even support development through business roles. But many face barriers to accessing professional opportunities and even a sense of community while working in tech.
This leads to either creating community or driving initiatives to create change for their communities at work through ERGs and a lot of this work continues to be volunteer work. As organizations start considering the ROI to ERG leaders and members, this session addresses opportunities to recognize, reward, and compensate ERG leaders working to create a more diverse and inclusive tech environment.
